Tried a non-traditional colour scheme for my second lot of July Christmas cards. The sketch was from this challenge blog, found via Patty Gorka (a fellow 100in100'er). Cool idea for a challenge blog, I will be taking part a lot I suspect!
100.78 & 79 (made two of these)
Not 100% keen on this one, the sketch is good (thanks to the challenge!) but I think the colour scheme is a bust. I just can't seem to get non-traditional schemes to work for Christmas cards. Oh well I shall keep trying!
Edited to add - I got an honourable mention badge for this challenge card! Wooo! Check it out!:
I went and checked out the challenge blog and what a fun sketch! I was super inspired so I made a non-Christmas card using the sketch. I'll post it in a few days. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in our challenge this week at 52CCT - I love your card and I also love the non-traditional colours especially the pink bakers twine - you are too hard on yourself!! - Jacqueline xx
ReplyDeleteSo glad you decided to play along and your card turned out perfectly! Great idea to round your corners and I really like how you have your twine tied with the brad. You are doing so great with our 100 cards challenge!

I really like this card and agree with Jacqueline - you are too hard on yourself. Wonderful popped up panels and of course I love the pink :o) its my most favorite non-traditional Christmas color to use. Thanks for joining us this week at 52CCT!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely card and I think the non traditional colours you used work well here! Love the twine around the brad!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing your lovely card with us at 52 CCT! Ruth x
